PR: Governor Deserves No Praise for Mask Mandate Relaxation

Freedoms to Life, Liberty and Property Are Inherent, Not Doled Out By Governor

EAST DERRY, N.H.—ReopenNH welcomes the end of the unnecessary and unlawful statewide mask mandate, but the governor’s vain gesture in allowing Emergency Order 74 to expire today merely pretends to restore rights that Granite Staters never actually lost, but many forfeited unknowingly.

“Do not for one moment think that this governor is somehow doling out liberty to New Hampshire and he ought to be thanked for finally letting us have our freedom back,” said Andrew J. Manuse, chairman of RebuildNH. “The mask mandate was unlawful from the beginning, along with several other emergency orders that are still in place, and this governor ought to be apologizing for overstepping his authority, if nothing else.”

“Numerous people have weathered the late outbreak without wearing a mask even once because they rationally examined the science and discerned that masks are not effective in the prevention of viral spread,” Manuse added. “Free people in a free society should have the opportunity to assess their own risk tolerance, and this liberty should never have been taken away from the people of New Hampshire.”

In his announcement yesterday about the mask mandate’s expiration and further relaxation of his unlawful orders on May 7, the governor also indicated that his State of Emergency would last through the year, repeating misconceptions about COVID-19 relief funding. Michigan and Alaska are currently not in a State of Emergency and have not had issues receiving federal COVID-19 relief funding. The Coronavirus Families First Act spells out only one program that is tied to being in an active state of emergency; namely, the temporarily expanded food stamp program.

“I think the governor needs to take the time to read what federal laws actually say and stop relying on hearsay information spread by bureaucrats,” said Melissa Blasek, executive director of RebuildNH. “It’s time for the Senate to pass the House budget along with the included emergency reforms to reinstate our republic and begin the process of restoring the proper balance of powers.”

With today’s relaxation of the statewide mask mandate, the people of New Hampshire need to be even more vigilant to hold their city and town leaders accountable and prevent onerous piecemeal rules that are even worse than what we’ve had in place. Businesses and local governments should not have the authority to trample on the natural rights of citizens, and Granite Staters will need to be diligent to peacefully negotiate their rights as they go about their business.

“Let me be clear: people need to stand up for their rights and say ‘NO’ to businesses or local governments that attempt to force masking or vaccination requirements,” said JR Hoell, treasurer of RebuildNH. “Granite Staters need to vote with their wallets and support local businesses that believe in personal freedoms and respect individual rights.”

  1. Thank you to the people that have fought to reinstate our right to freedom and not to have dictatorial procedures in place from our Governor or businesses. They reversed the rights of the people that support businesses and burdened them with this abuse of power to even enter establishments. We have to answer with our wallets and keep them closed to anyone that continues to force masks on people. The Governor never had the right to implement this via executive order and he knows it. The fight is far from over, do not go to places that are still forcing masks.

  2. A List of local businesses to support that share our beliefs in liberty and personal choice, would be welcome by many as we prefer to do our business with them

  3. What this National Plandemic did, was put people out of their homes, closed businesses, and limited the ability for families to see loved ones that were dying or critically ill.
This was largest CON of the world since its inception, this was a plan to make people reliant on the Gvt for money and support, this was for those who are weak minded and cant think for themselves, it created a lazy society, it created a dependency on Gvt to be told what to do and when to do it.
Those that planned this and FORCED IT upon the people need to be held accountable for the murders of thousands of people.
Viruses are grown, these three viruses that make up C-19 didnt just decide to jump petri dishes and have an orgy, it was made and released for one specific thing, “Depopulate Society”, “Control the Carbon Footprint of World” as Bill Gates put it in interview. He created a “Vaccine” many years ago that killed thousands in Africa. He is a computer nerd posing and acting like a Physician and Scientist.
If this was such a bad virus caused by a bat, then why are they still eating bats in China.
You can not control a virus, you can not contain a virus, the virus has to burn itself out, any Dr will tell you that, there are many Dr’s from around the world now coming out with proof that this was all about control.
Fauci is nothing more than a Mole Rat Mouthpiece for the EU, UN and WHO.
All these entities want to control you and the world , dont believe me, do some research and you’ll find out.
FB, Twitter and the rest of the media giants are silencing the truth about those that have plastered themselves all over, they’re misleading you. They’re misleading you with false narratives, look at Vietnam, Desert Storm, the media mislead you to believe that we were blood thirsty savages, war mongers, etc. We did as we were told by upper brass, we did our jobs, but to please the agenda some were charged with War Crimes because Brass had no sack to stand up for their soldiers.
You all need to stand up and take a good hard look at the media and hold them responsible for misleading information as well as those WE the PEOPLE ELECTED to do right by US, but instead cave to the money and screw their constituents over.

    • Well said Sir. You’re 100% correct and if people don’t wake up and take their rights back the enslavement will continue. They are now working on the “Great Reset” where “you won’t own anything, you will rent and you’ll be happy”. They are now promoting critical race theory that will teach our children to hate America and each other because America is systemically racist. This is being done intentionally to further divide and concur. We are in a battle for our very republic. I pray it’s not to late to turn things around.

  4. Andrew and Rebuild NH are right, the Governor is now taking false credit all over fake news, and trying to sound like a hero. It’s Rebuild NH and all of us that have sued the Governor that have made the change. He allowed 1 year of repeated theft of our rights and freedoms and continued to impoverish that state, but allow for monopolies to survive. It makes my skin curl to listen to him NOW sounding like he is a hometown hero when he is not. And we have to continue to fight against his tyranny, and get him removed from power. He also needs to be liable for his actions, which caused many deaths and suicides in this state that were 100% preventable.

  5. I refuse to spend a dime in businesses that force masks. I refuse masks at work. I refuse any government entity telling me what to do or where to spend my money. My wallet is closed for the sheeple who think they have ownership over my body.

  6. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being watchful eyes for all of us. I moved to NH last November thinking I’d be living in a freer environment only to find that so many people here are just as duped by the msm and government as in the city. And I was horrified as I saw the abuse of power being wielded by the governor. I have not worn a mask once since moving here. It hasn’t been easy but I refuse to do it and will boycott any place where they try to make me put one on. And don’t get me started on the vaccine that’s not even a vaccine. Never ever.

    Exactly!
I have “re educated” (thier term) several small businesses here in Concord that have
busted my balls for not wearing a mask.
I told them IF they choose to ENFORCE a “mandate”, at least know what the hell they ARE doing! (meaning – learning the 9 exceptions)
MY WALLET WILL CONTINUE to support common sense!
Matter of fact- tonight, on a walk on Main St the Capitol center for the “Arts” uses their nice LCD sign to display “Vaccinate to end the wait” .WTF???
Speechless in response to that alone!
